The 23rd NanoLSI Open Seminar “Development of carbon nanotube probe tips for scanning probe microscopy”

On May 23, NanoLSI held the Open Seminar “Development of carbon nanotube probe tips for scanning probe microscopy” at Natural Science and Technology Main Hall, Kanazawa University.

During the seminar, Dr. Kaori Hirahara, Associate Professor of Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, presented how the carbon nanotube (CNT) is useful as a probe tip for scanning probe microscopy and its fabrication technique developed by her group. In addition, she introduced its practical applications to bioengineering field, such as single-molecule force measurement and her recent work using CNT probe tips. The lecture was followed by lively discussions.
