The 18th NanoLSI Open Seminar “Mechanisms of Occurrence, Development of Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcomas”
On May 17, NanoLSI held the Open Seminar “Mechanisms of Occurrence, Development of Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcomas” at Cancer Research Institute, Kanazawa University.
In the seminar, Dr. Takuro Nakamura from the Cancer Institute of Japanese Foundation for Cancer Research introduced his research on the establishment of a mouse model for Ewing’s sarcoma and CIC-DUX4 sarcoma by analyzing its causative genes. He also presented the search for its cell-of-origin and mechanisms of occurrence and development of the tumor. It was beneficial for the audience to understand his up-to-date research findings on the rare cancer. Around 30 participants including faculty members and graduate students attended the lecture, which was followed by lively discussions.
