The 50th Luncheon Meeting was held on April 30, 2026

The 50th Luncheon Meeting took place on Thursday, April 30, 2026,

featuring a talk by Yohei Kono, Researcher from the Shimi Lab, and was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Takeshi Shimi.

Dr. Kono is originally from Osaka City.  

After graduating from high school, he entered the Department of Biological Science at the Faculty of Medicine, Tottori University.  Following his research activities at Tottori University and Tokyo Institute of Technology, he is now continuing his research at NanoLSI.

In his talk, Dr. Kono introduced his academic background and current research activities at NanoLSI. He also shared aspects of his personal life, including his wide range of hobbies such as baseball, as well as his unique collection of various driver’s licenses, which helped create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

The presentation was followed by a Q&A session, during which many participants raised questions about his research. This led to an active and engaging discussion, reflecting the strong interest of the audience.
