The 50th Luncheon Meeting took place on Thursday, April 30, 2026,
featuring a talk by Yohei Kono, a researcher from the Shimi Lab, and was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Takeshi Shimi.
Dr. Kono is originally from Osaka.
After graduating from Imamiya high school in Osaka, he enrolled the School of Life Science, Faculty of Medicine, Tottori University. Following research activities at Tottori University and Tokyo Institute of Technology, he and Dr. Shimi joined NanoLSI three years ago.
During the presentation, before introducing his research projects, he shared personal experiences, including his wide range of hobbies such as baseball, and the unique collection of various driver’s licenses, which helped create a warm and friendly atmosphere.
In the Q&A session, many questions were raised on his research topics. This led to an active and engaging discussion, reflecting the strong interest of the audience.
