The 61st NanoLSI Open Seminar “Chiromorphology” was held (11/12)

On November 12, NanoLSI held the Open Seminar and 72 researchers and students participated.

During the seminar, Dr. Reiko KURODA from The University of Tokyo (Professor Emeritus)/ Institute of Science and Technology Research, Chubu University (Designated Professor) presented her recent progress of “Chiromorphology”, which is related to the developmental genetics. She demonstrated the control of snail winding direction by using the CRISPR-Cas9 gene-editing technique. Her lecture provoked active discussion.
