The 37th NanoLSI Open Seminar “Influenza A viruses are internalized into mammalian host cells via calcium signaling-mediated endocytosis”

On December 11th, NanoLSI held the Open Seminar and 18 researchers and students participated.

During the seminar, Dr. Yoichiro FUJIOKA from Department of Cell Physiology, Faculty of Medicine and Graduate School of Medicine, Hokkaido University presented infection mechanism of influenza virus using FRET biosensor. He told about Ca2+ signaling promotes endocytosis which related withe the infection process. There was a lively Q&A session after the lecture.
