47th Luncheon Meeting was held on December 16, 2025
The 47th Luncheon Meeting took place on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, featuring a talk by Asst. Prof. Sumiko Takao (Life Science), chaired by Prof. Atsushi Hirao.
Asst. Prof. Takao is originally from Kyoto. After conducting research overseas as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore, she moved to the United States, where she served as a senior research scientist in the laboratory of Dr. Alex Kentsis at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
During her time in New York, she led an active research life while also valuing interactions with her colleagues, such as sharing meals with lab members and spending weekends visiting the beach together.
Following her self-introduction, she presented her current research activities. The session concluded with an active Q&A session, with many questions from the audience.
