The 42nd Luncheon Meeting was held on Thursday, June 13, 2024.

This time, Asst. Prof. Das Tamoghna Kanti of computational sciences was the speaker and Prof. Mikihiro Sibata was the chairperson.

Dr. Tamoghna was born in a small town 70km from Kolkata, India. The beautiful landscape is mesmerising.

His birthplace.

He started his research career at the SN Bose National for Basic Sciences (SNBNCBS) in Kolkata, where he obtained his degree under Prof. Srajit Sengupta on “Why the solids breakdown?”. He then continued his research at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology in Japan, the National Institute of Standards and Technology in the USA and the Institute for Basic Science in Korea before joining NanoLSI in February 2024.

Although we will not upload the photo, it was heartfelt to hear him introduce his lovely family. He then spoke about his own profession and recent research interests, and as usual, it was time for a lively discussion.
