KU CRI – SNU GCRC Joint Symposium
On May 28th (Monday), a Joint Symposium by Kanazawa University Cancer Research Institute (KU CRI) and Seoul National University Tumor Microenvironment Global Core Research Center(SNU GCRC)took place at the Memorial Hall, School of Medicine, Kanazawa University (Takaramachi campus).
At the symposium, 8 speakers from Korea including Prof. Young-Joon Surh, Director of SNU GCRC, and 6 speakers from institutions in Japan such as KU CRI, InFiniti, and NanoLSI gave presentations. The contents of the presentation were related to fundamental research such as molecular biology of cancer, cell biology, model development, applied research such as diagnostic and therapeutic methods by nuclear medicine, as well as, on the latest drug discovery research and research at the nano level. Presentations were broad and covered the latest research results.
At the symposium, 155 participants including KU CRI members as well as faculty members from other institutions and graduate students had lively question-and-answer sessions and discussion with the presenters. This event was a valuable opportunity to pursue the possibility of future international joint research.
