Nano Life Science Institute (WPI-NanoLSI) consists of four fields: Nanometrology, Life Science, Supramolecular Chemistry, and Computational Science. Through the fusion of four fields, we aim to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of fundamental life phenomena, such as the replication and reading of genetic information and cell division, as well as higher-order life phenomena, such as immunity, memory, and thinking at the nanoscale level.
We hold an international symposium annually to develop further transdisciplinary research and establish new cooperative relationships with researchers from diverse backgrounds. This year’s 10th symposium is being held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Nano Life Science Institute. The symposium is organized by Professor Takeshi Fukuma, Director of the institute, and will feature leading researchers at the forefront of their fields. Under the theme “Nanoprobe Life Science: A Decade of Discovery and the Next Frontier,” the symposium will discuss the progress achieved to date in life science research based on nanoprobe technologies, as well as future prospects in this rapidly advancing area.
We hope that this symposium will provide a valuable opportunity to reflect on the research achievements that have been built over the past decade and to explore the next stage of development in Nanoprobe Life Science. It will also offer a unique chance to learn firsthand about the latest research findings and future directions in the field, and we warmly invite you to join us.
